After coming back from an Achilles injury to record a season-high 12.5 sacks, Dallas linebacker Greg Ellis edged New England receiver Randy Moss for AP Comeback Player of the Year.

Commentary: It was a strong year for comeback players, with Moss bouncing back from down years in Oakland to set an NFL record with 23 touchdown catches and 10 other players rebounding from injuries or bad years to garner votes from the 50 media members who decide the award.
