After being told he is a probable first-round draft pick, wide receiver Mario Manningham has decided to leave Michigan a year early to make himself eligible for the NFL draft. Manningham joins fellow Michigan receiver Adrian Arrington as draft-eligible juniors. Manningham caught 72 passes for 1,174 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2007.

Commentary: Manningham improves the quality of a class that was fairly weak before fellow juniors James Hardy (Indiana) and Malcolm Kelly (Oklahoma) declared for the draft. Early Ducet (LSU) and Limas Sweed (Texas) are considered the top two seniors.

Fantasy Football Impact: Rookie receivers are rarely very successful. The best rookie this year was Dwayne Bowe, who had 70 catches for 995 yards and five touchdowns for Kansas City.
