San Diego running back LaDainian Tomlinson expects to play Sunday in the AFC Championship Game even though he has a hyperextended left knee, but quarterback Philip Rivers figures to be a game-time decision because of a sprained right knee. Tight end Antonio Gates, who played sparingly against Indianapolis on Sunday, probably will be a game-time decision again because of a dislocated toe suffered in the wild-card round against Tennessee.

Commentary: The Chargers are two-touchdown underdogs to New England, and coach Norv Turner knows his team has little chance to win with all of the injuries to star players. "I'm concerned," Turner told reporters. "I mean, I'm real concerned. ... We're getting ready to play the best team in the National Football League. We need to rally the troops and get everyone as healthy as we can be."

Fantasy Football Impact: None for next season, but these injuries have affected scoring in playoff fantasy leagues. With Gates banged up, receiver Vincent Jackson has stepped up. And with LT hurt, Michael Turner and Darren Sproles both scored touchdowns against the Colts. Rivers was replaced by Billy Volek, who led the Chargers on the winning touchdown drive, his own 1-yard dive.
