The New Orleans Saints have promoted Greg McMahon to special-teams coach and Dennis Allen to secondary coach. Both joined the Saints when coach Sean Payton was hired in 2006. McMahon steps up from assistant special-teams coach, replacing John Bonamego, who was hired to be the special-teams coordinator of the Miami Dolphins. Allen, previously an assistant defensive line coach, replaces Tom Hayes.
