The Cincinnati Bengals have signed quarterback Jordan Palmer, who will get a chance to compete for a backup spot behind his older brother, Carson.

Jordan Palmer was a record-setting QB at UTEP before being drafted by the Washington Redskins in the sixth round last year. He was released Sept. 1.

Commentary: There are and have been several quarterback brothers in the NFL, but only Koy and Ty Detmer were on the same team (Philadelphia Eagles in 1997), and Koy spent the season on injured reserve. Jordan Palmer will compete with current No. 2 quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jeff Rowe, the Bengals' fifth-round pick last year.

Fantasy Football Impact: None for now.
