The Tennessee Titans reportedly have re-signed popular defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz to a two-year contract, rewarding him for leading the Titans' defensive resurgence.

Schwartz, 41, led the Titans' turnaround from 27th in 2006 to fifth this season. He was a hot coaching candidate, interviewing with the Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons. But he wasn't hired, and the Titans were able to re-sign him for the next two seasons.

Commentary: Schwartz is one of the league's top DCs and seems destined to become a head coach someday soon.

Fantasy Football Impact: None.
