Titusville (Florida) High School WR Willie Haulstead gave his verbal commitment to Florida State on Thursday. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound player is rated a four-star recruit by Rivals and is currently listed at the No. 10 receiver in the nation for the 2009 class.

"I think he's excited about the depth chart that's there," Terriers coach Bobby Guthrie said. "He sees he'll be able to play quickly. He sees they're building something. He feels like he's one of their top choices."

The Seminoles beat out Georgia, LSU, Miami, Florida, Oregon, Auburn and Boston College among others for the get.

COMMENTARY: Florida State is currently loaded at receiver for the 2009 class. The highly ranked Haulstead joins four-star Willie Downs, who is currently Rivals' No. 5 receiver in the land. However, the site also lists Haulstead's commitment as a "soft verbal," which normally means a player is only tentatively committed as he is visiting other schools. But no verbals, whether soft or strong, are contractually binding.
