UGA VI, a bulldog and beloved University of Georgia mascot since 1999, has died from congestive heart failure. It passed away at its home in Savannah.

Commentary: Frank Seiler, the dog's owner, noticed that it was breathing heavily Friday night, and the dog died soon afterward. According to Seiler, the dog had the best record of any mascot in Georgia history.

UGA will be buried in a vault in the Southwest corner of Sanford Stadium with its predecessors. It was 9 years old.
