I keep hearing the same thing from fans and non-fans alike; that Mark Richt seems to lack enthusiasm. People believe that with the gold he had the past couple of years, Knowshon, Stafford, and A.J. Green all on the same team, should have undoubtedly resulted in a even bigger winning season than they had. Maybe even a National Championship. But can you attribute it to just Mark Richt being "passionless"? Even when he tried to step that up at the Georgia/Florida game two years ago, he was chastised and had to make an apologetic statement about it later when their are other coaches, I'm not even going to go there...yet, who make no apologies for their attitudes.

It is hard for me wrap my head around the idea that his lack of hotness on the field is what is missing there. There were far better teams last year, Florida for instance and even then, they had their one loss to Ole Miss. College football is volatile. Why I love it. Or maybe it was too many stars on one team, Florida relies on Tebow, Georgia relied on multiples. And let's face it, Georgia is in, in my opinion, the toughest league out there. Eight years, two SEC Championships, and a 82-22 record (which mind you is the 4th best in the country in winning percentages of active coaches) leads me to believe there is plenty of fire between the hedges.

I think teams reflect their coaches. Mark Richt is in control and his team seems to reflect that as well. I would much rather my coach be this way and have a solid winning streak than to look at him and think he would sell his grandmother for a win aka Urban Meyer. I'm just saying.....
