Giants LT David Diehl signed a two-year extension that will keep him with the Super Bowl champions through 2013, the team announced Wednesday.

Diehl was instrumental in the Giants' unexpected championship season of 2007. He has played both guard and tackle positions in New York, but he protected QB Eli Manning's blind side at left tackle last season. Diehl has started on the Giant offensive line for 80 straight games.

Commentary: According to Diehl, the Giants approached him about the extension. He already had a contract that had him signed through 2011, but he'll make $31 million with his new deal.

Fantasy Impact: Unknown RB Ahmad Bradshaw looks to have a strong year in the Giants' fourth-ranked rushing attack. He and RB Brandon Jacobs came alive over the second half of the season, and both figure to be strong fantasy contributors this season.
