The Giants came to terms with free-agent offensive tackle Shane Olivea on a one-year contract, pending a physical, NFL.com reported Thursday.

Olivea served a four-game suspension at the end of last season when he was with the Chargers. He appealed the suspension, saying he was in a drug rehab facility at the time of the test.

Commentary: It has never been a question of talent with Olivea. The Giants are thin enough at tackle where they need to make a move, but Olivea only gets a one-year deal from the champs because he's one bad night away from a yearlong suspension from the league.

Fantasy Impact: None
