The New York Giants are expected to re-sign free-agent fullback Jim Finn to a 5 year contract, according to the player's agent Alan Herman.

Originally from Teaneck, NJ, the University of Pennsylvania product spurned offers from the Houston Texans, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs. "There were better deals in terms of duration and economic terms, but Jim felt that New York was a good spot for him and he felt comfortable there,'' Herman said. "He likes Tom Coughlin and his style of coaching. Also, being from New Jersey, he's able to play in front of his family and friends."

Finn's blocking helped RB Tiki Barber run for a team-record 1,518 yards in 2004. He also had 15 receptions for 112 yards last season.

The 6'0", 245 lbs. FB played for the Indianapolis Colts from 2000-2002 before joining the Giants as an unrestricted free agent in 2003. He has 39 receptions for 271 yards and 1 TD in 74 games
