The Jaguars looked like giants last season. Now they're on the other side of the equation. A lack of a strong offense and defense has placed pressure on quarterback David Garrard, who's known more as a game manager than a gamebreaker.

Garrard had a coming-out party last season after head coach Jack Del Rio rolled the dice and cut Byron Leftwich. Garrard, the consummate professional, made good on Del Rio's belief in him as the Jags advanced to the second round of the playoffs before losing to the New England Patriots. That playoff run seems like a lifetime ago now for Garrard, who has only thrown three touchdowns and four interceptions (already one more than 2007) this year. To give you a little perspective of how poorly the season is going, Garrard is projected to throw just 10 TDs against 13 picks.

Garrard does have enough time to turn his season around, though. The second-place Indianapolis Colts are only one game ahead of Jacksonville in the AFC South standings and the days of the elite teams in the conference are seemingly gone. But if a wild-card spot is going to be a goal, the onus is on the entire Jaguar offense to lift Garrard up. That goes for Reggie Williams, Fred Taylor, Maurice Jones-Drew and many other skill players who have disappointed so far.

Fan Pulse: Jags lovers are going for the jugular by saying they'd rather have rookie Falcons QB Matt Ryan than Garrard.

Fantasy Football Commentary: If you're like me, then you thought Garrard would be a top 10 fantasy quarterback this season. That clearly is not happening. If you're using Garrard as a starter, scour the waiver wire and try to search for a replacement.

Injury Watch: There are no key injuries to current Jacksonville starters at the moment.
