If the writing wasn't on the wall before, it is now etched in stone. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew is the top dog for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and it is time for Fred Taylor to start heading for the exit door. The potential Hall of Famer did run for 80 yards on 16 carries Sunday, but it was in mop-up duty after Jones-Drew had done the real damage already. It also was against the Detroit Lions, who are 0-9.

Commentary: Taylor, who has 11,000-plus ground yards in his career, is one of the most underappreciated backs in NFL history. He has been an incredible force on the Jaguars and was one of the key figures in their initial rise as an expansion team in the '90s.

Fan Pulse: Speaking of Jaguars who don't get respect nationally, the Jags' backers are getting jacked up over a possible Pro Bowl bid for CB Rashean Mathis.

Fantasy Football Commentary: Last week, we talked about trading Jones-Drew although, I didn't think you could make a case for him as a RB1 candidate. If you're going to do it, now is the time. Jones-Drew faces the hideous run defenses of Green Bay and Indianapolis in Weeks 15 and 16. That's great. The bad news? If your championship is in Week 17, as many are, he'll see the Baltimore Ravens' defense. Ouch.

Injury Watch: DT John Henderson missed Sunday's game with a knee injury.
