Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Tommy Hendricks was charged with violating a restraining order issued in Broward County taken out by his former wife. The couple previously lived there while Hendricks played with the Miami Dolphins.

The LB called his ex-wife the day after the court-issued injuction. Hendricks turned himself in to the Clay County Sheriff's office, according local tv station WJXX, and was later released on a $1,500 bond.

Team spokesman Dan Edwards also said that Hendricks also is being treated for an unspecified medical condition. Edwards added that the team doesn't plan any disciplinary action against Hendricks. The former Michigan Wolverine joined the Jaguars last March after spending his first 4 seasons as a professional with the Dolphins.

The 6'2", 235 lbs. LB is a special teams maven who specializes in wedge-busting.
