The Jacksonville Jaguars signed veteran defensive tackle Tony Williams. The free agent acquisition will be used to backup Pro Bowl DTs John Henderson and Marcus Stroud.

The 6'2", 296 lbs. Williams played in 6 games for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2004 before missing the rest of the season with a broken ankle on a cut block by Denver Broncos RT George Foster. He finished the year with 16 tackles.

The former Memphis Tiger had played for the Minnesota Vikings (1997-2000), before joining the Bengals in 2001. Over 8 seasons, he has totalled 260 tackles, 22 sacks, 3 deflected passes, 1 forced fumble, and 5 fumble recoveries.
