Jaguars to sign Nate Wayne

The Jacksonville Jaguars have come to terms with linebacker Nate Wayne. The unrestricted free agent will sign an undisclosed deal with the team early next week, according to published reports. Wayne had been released earlier this offseason by the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 6'0", 237 lbs. LB played 9 games in 2004 for the Eagles. He recorded 29 tackles, 1 sack, 1 pass deflection, and 2 forced fumbles.

The University of Mississippi product turned pro in 1998. Wayne has played for the Denver Broncos (1998-1999), the Green Bay Packers (2000-2002), and Philadelphia (2003-2004). In 85 career contests, he has 435 tackles, 16 sacks, 7 interceptions, 22 passes deflected, 11 forced fumbles, and 5 fumble recoveries.
