New York Jets Pro Bowl defensive end John Abraham has signed a one-year tender and reported to Jets training camp on Monday. The tender is reportedly worth $6.67 million. Abraham had previously refused to sign a tender because he wanted to holdout for a long-term deal. He has missed all of the Jets' offseason training and all of their preseason games.

In five seasons, John Abraham has made the Pro Bowl three times. He has 43 sacks, 12 forced fumbles and 261 tackles but has only played one full season since entering the NFL. He has been hampered by numerous injuries but still manages to be a dominant force at defensive end. The only season in which Abraham played all 16 games was 2002. That year he recorded 10 sacks.

Injury concerns are the main reason that the New York Jets are hesitant to offer Abraham a long-term deal.
