Jets sign undrafted O-lineman DeVan

The Jets signed former Oregon State offensive lineman Kyle DeVan to a contract Thursday.

DeVan started 38 consecutive games for the Beavers, and he originally had signed a free agent deal with Washington. The Redskins released him July 10.

Commentary: The Redskins parted with DeVan to make room for the drafted rookies they got under contract in mid-July. He doesn't figure to be more than a training camp body in New York, though.
