It's nice of quarterback Brett Favre to call up his long-lost little brother, the Cowboys' Tony Romo, and tell him to play through the pain of a broken pinkie. The two players are carbon copies through and through. But Favre would be better served to focus on the task at hand, a road game in Oakland that has "trap" written all over it. The Jets should have pounded another lowly team, the 0-6 Cincinnati Bengals, last week. Instead, they let the Bengals hang around and Favre had the worst game of his short-lived Jets career.

Commentary: Yes, the Raiders have been horrible and Al Davis has sent the organization to hell. But there is nothing like getting your head kicked in to inspire an upset. There is no team this season that is too good to say it can't fall into a trap. Ask the Giants, whom the lowly Browns destroyed Monday night.

A win would get the Jets to 4-2, right in the thick of the AFC East race. A loss, however, could derail the New Yorkers.

Fan Pulse: Jets fans aren't too concerned about the Raiders. They instead like to focus their attention on the awful throwback uniforms the Jets have worn recently: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=36698.

Fantasy Football Commentary:
You have to start Favre this week. Yes, he put up a statistical stinker versus the Bengals, but Cincy's pass 'D' was ranked sixth in the NFL before last week. Guess what? Oakland is ranked 24th, gives up 27 points a game, and should be a prime opponent for Favre to get back on track against.

Injury Watch:
WR Laveranues Coles was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice with a thigh injury.
