Just when you thought there couldn't be any more bad blood between the New York Jets and New England Patriots, the Jets pick up brash cornerback Ty Law. To be honest, the act was more an attempt to shore up a less-than-amazing defensive backfield than a way to stick it to the Patriots. Either way, we'll begin finding out just how much Law has left when the two 6-3 AFC East rivals meet Thursday night.

Commentary: Law hasn't played with the Pats since 2004. Heck, he has played with the Jets more recently than New England, staying on with New York one season in 2005. He had 10 interceptions that year. Don't expect the 34-year-old to make that big of an impact this year.

Fan Pulse: Bulletin-board material is nothing new in this rivalry and some members of a Jets forum are trying to figure out which anonymous Jets player fired off the latest soundbite about New England.

Fantasy Football:
You should consider benching, dropping or attempting to trade Brett Favre. He's far too inconsistent and is little more than an average QB nowadays.

Injury Watch:
Kicker Mike Nugent is questionable for Thursday's game with a thigh injury.
