The New York Jets have interest in signing veteran cornerback Ty Law. He was released by the New England Patriots back in February.

Law broke his foot and missed the final 12 games of 2004. While he continues to rehab his injury, Coach Herman Edwards wouldn't rule out the possibility of signing Law when he is healthy. "There's always interest in good players when they are not on a team," Edwards said. "Obviously he's a guy that is a heck of a football player."

It turns out Law was the first player Edwards ever graded, back in 1995 when the coach was a scout for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Jets are thin at the cornerback position and could use a quality starter to stabilize their pass defense.
