For those of you still paying attention to the Detroit Lions after their ignominious 41-34 loss at the hands of the St. Louis Rams, below runs a quiz to test your knowledge of the silver-and-Honolulu blue's achievements in 2006 thus far.

1. Against the Rams on Sunday, the Lions had a four-point lead in the second quarter when they went up 17-13. Before this game, how many times has Detroit had a four-point second-quarter lead this season?

a) Zero.
b) Nada.
c) Nil.
d) Fire Millen.

2. Against the Rams on Sunday, the Lions had a four-point lead in the third quarter when they went up 27-23. Before this game, how many times has Detroit had a four-point third-quarter lead this season?

a) Zero.
b) Nada.
c) Nil.
d) Fire Millen.

3. Against the Rams on Sunday, the Lions had a four-point lead in the fourth quarter when they went up 34-30. Before this game, how many times has Detroit had a four-point fourth-quarter lead this season?

a) Zero.
b) Nada.
c) Nil.
d) Fire Millen.

4. In fact, the Lions have led by more than four exactly this many times in 2006:

a) Zero.
b) Nada.
c) The number of plausible denials Terrell Owens has remaining multiplied by the probability of Dennis
Miller returning to the "Monday Night Football" team.
d) Fire Millen.

5. The Lions posted zero interceptions in another dismal showing from a defensive squad that may well be worsening instead of improving. The total number of interceptions the Lions have this year is:

a) Zero.
b) One, but it was called back.
c) Nada.
d) Fire Marinelli and Millen.

6. On the subject of that horrid 'D', Coach "False" Rod Marinelli said:

a) Nothing.
b) Next to nothing.
c) "We weren't good enough on defense et cetera et cetera..." i.e. nothing.
d) "Take me out of my misery, please."

7. Mike Martz' offense looked slightly like the "Greatest Show on Turf" days in scoring 34 points while Jon Kitna threw the ball 43 times. This means:
a) Nothing.
b) Maybe there's something here. After all, this Lions defense could match the 2000 Rams mark of 471 points allowed...
c) The Lions aren't rebuilding. Yes, they are. No, they aren't. Yes, they are...
d) Fire Martz, Marinelli and Millen.

8. The highlight of this season has been:

a) The headline-grabbing play of receiver Roy Williams (and in his own mind, he's even more incredible).
b) The headline-grabbing play of rookie Ernie Sims.
c) The headline-grabbing driving skill of coach Joe Cullen.
d) Fire Cullen, Martz, Marinelli and Millen.

9. Right now, the Lions are:

a) Nothing.
b) 0-4.
c) 4-0, but then Williams wakes up.
d) Go Tigers!

10. And finally, the most difficult question on the quiz. The worst team in the NFL is:

a) the Miami Dolphins.
b) the Houston Texans.
c) the Oakland Raiders.
d) Ah, just get rid of him already, willya?
