Update!  McQuarters signs deal with Lions

It's official! The Detroit Lions have signed cornerback and punt return specialist R.W. McQuarters to a one year contract. The two sides had agreed in principle to this deal over a week ago. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed as of yet.

R.W. McQuarters switched from cornerback to safety last year, where he reeled in two interceptions. It is unclear whether Steve Mariucci will use him at safety or cornerback. Mariucci Coached McQuarters when he was with the 49ers back in 98' and 99'.
