Dinwiddie High (Dinwiddie, Va.) outside linebacker Bradley Johnson gave the thumbs-up to Maryland on Wednesday for the ’09 class.

Last season the 6-foot-1, 206-pound three-star prospect had 113 tackles, six pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and two interceptions.

Johnson chose College Park over South Carolina, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Duke, among others.

COMMENTARY: Johnson is the second linebacker to commit to Maryland for the class; the first was Lorne Goree. Maryland’s class currently tallies at eight verbal commitments.
