The Maryland Terrapins landed their second and third commitments in three days on Thursday for the ’09 class.

Edmondson-Westside High (Baltimore) defensive end David Mackall gave coach Ralph Fridgeon’s program the affirmative, and so did West Florence High (Florence, S.C.) linebacker Avery Murray.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Mackall, a strongside end, is a two-star prospect who and chose Maryland over East Carolina. Murray, a 6-0, 219-pound outsider, nixed Buffalo for the Terrapins.

COMMENTARY: This brings Fridge’s '09 class to four commitments so far this month. His program now sports 16 verbals, with 14 of them coming since the beginning of June.
