The Carolina Panthers starters will see more action this week than they did last time out in their victory over the Washington Redskins. Depending on how the game goes, coach John Fox said the 1st team may play the entire first half. The win vs. the Skins marked the team's 10th straight pre-season win. Even though running back Stephen Davis won't play until at least next week, the Carolina Panthers did have three starters return to practice this week, WR Keary Colbert, CB Ken Lucas, and safety Mike Minter. Rookie 1st round pick Thomas Davis has moved to outside linebacker for this game.

Last year's overall number one pick Eli Manning will once again start for the New York Giants and play well into the second quarter. He completed 6-of-8 passes for 53 yards and a touchdown against Cleveland last week. Expect the rest of the starters to also get most of the work in the first half before yielding to the backups. New York Giants Coach Tom Coughlin said he wants to get a good look at Jesse Palmer and Jared Lorenzen, as they battle for the final quarterbacking spot behind Manning and Tim Hasselbeck.
