Despite five turnovers, the Arizona Cardinals managed to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 24-17. Offensively, both teams produced similar numbers. The Cardinals put up a team total of 256-yards, gaining 115 on the ground and 141 in the air. The Chiefs produced 240 total yards, recording 121 rushing yards and 119 passing yards.

Early on, the Chiefs took command scoring ten unanswered points in the first quarter. As the game settled into the second and third team players, it took on a different perspective. The Arizona Cardinals exploded in the third quarter scoring 17 points. In relief of Kurt Warner, Josh McCown threw two touchdown passes which sparked a Cardinals rally. In the fourth quarter, both teams scored a touchdown but it would not prove enough for the Chiefs. Damon Huard, who replaced Trent Green for Kansas City, was 1 of 12 for 11-yards and two interceptions.

Kurt Warner saw a good amount of repetitions, throwing for 99 yards on 12 of 23 attempts. Thus far, Warner has looked good in all his preseason outings. Anquan Boldin finished the game with two receptions for 27 yards. In the first quarter, Boldin scored on a 49-yard touchdown pass from Warner but the play was called back for holding.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a good set of starting players but need to work on their overall team depth. The Cardinals have playmaking ability, but need to tighten up in the turnover department.
