Rookie Demarcus Ware made his presence felt as the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Seattle Seahawks 18-10. Ware recorded a sack, an interception, and two forced fumbles. He recovered one of his fumbles as well.

On the other side of the ball the Dallas Cowboys offense looked fairly steady. Second year RB Julius Jones gained 58 yards on 12 carries, including one nifty play where he eluded several tackles. Drew Bledsoe looked somewhat mobile (compared to Vinny Testaverde) escaping pressure to make throws and even scrambling for some rushing yardage. Bledsoe went 7 of 11 for 56 yards and one touchdown.

The Seattle Seahawks looked fantastic on their second offensive series of the game, easily driving 80 yards in eight plays and scoring a touchdown. After that drive, the Seahawks offense did little else. Matt Hasselbeck was 12/15 for 135 yards and one touchdown, but did throw a pick to Demarcus Ware. Shaun Alexander added 26 yards on six carries.

Other key stats:

Dallas Cowboys
Keyshawn Johnson 2 REC 23 YDS
Drew Henson 4/10 38 YDS 1 INT

Seattle Seahawks
Seneca Wallace 8/20 69 YDS
