The Chargers look to continue rolling on offense and the Vikings are looking to sort out their running back situation as San Diego Chargers match up against the Minnesota Vikings. Kickoff is schedule for 8 PM at the Metrodome in Minneapolis.

The San Diego Chargers exploded on offense last week, especially in the running game. LaDainian Tomlinson, Michael Turner, and Darren Sproles are hoping for a repeat performance. The coaches will also be monitoring the progress of their two quarterbacks. For now, it looks like Drew Brees will hold on to the starting job. Antonio Gates has ended his holdout but will not be eligible to suit up until the second game of the regular season. On defense, the Chargers will be without rookie first round pick DE Luis Castillo.

The Minnesota Vikings are dealing with yet another injury to Michael Bennett. Mewelde Moore is likely to start in his place and could hold onto the starting job even after Bennett gets healthy. Daunte Culpepper is expected to play into the second half, but will not have center Matt Birk watching his back. Birk has a torn hip labrum and has asked the team to guarantee his contract for next year if they want him to play without surgery this season.
