Randy Moss gave the home fans what they've been waiting for, but the Arizona Cardinals still managed to edge the Oakland Raiders 17-16. Eric Johnson returned an interception 35 yards for the deciding score.

The Raiders' passing offense continued its preseason tear. Kerry Collins threw for a 189 yards and a touchdown on 17 of 25 passing. LaMont Jordan added 23 yards on 10 carries. The Raiders' revamped defense generated three sacks, two fumbles, and one interception.

A seemingly rejuvenated Kurt Warner kept the Arizona Cardinals in the game early on. He completed 11 of 18 passes for 118 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Marcel Shipp and J.J. Arrington combined for 57 yards on 13 carries. The Cardinals' defense was also fairly effective. Although they did allow a lot of passing yards they also forced four sacks, one fumble, and two interceptions.
