The Raiders agreed to a seven-year, $70 million deal, with $23.5 million guaranteed, with DeAngelo Hall, consummating a trade where the Raiders sent a 2nd round pick in 2008 and a 5th round pick in 2009 to the Falcons for the disgruntled cornerback.

Hall voiced his displeasure with the Falcons early and often last season, motivating the franchise to trade him, just four years after they made him the 10th overall pick in the 2004 Draft. Hall has been to two Pro Bowls, but was fined $100,000 and benched for a half of a game last season after a confrontation with then-Falcons coach Bobby Petrino.

Commentary: The Raiders have already traded their 3rd and 5th round picks in this draft, making the move for Hall questionable. But then again, Hall has done well covering any receiver in the league not named Steve Smith, and pairing him with franchise-tagged CB Nnamdi Asomugha gives them the best combination of cover corners in the league.
