Gray stays in division, signs with Texans

Houston signed former Jaguars QB Quinn Gray to a one-year contract Monday. He will back-up starter Matt Schaub and Sage Rosenfels.

Gray backed up David Garrard in Jacksonville last year, and threw for 986 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Commentary: Gray has proved he can be a solid back-up in the NFL, and his acquisition by the Texans fuels speculation that Rosenfels will be dealt on Draft Day or released by the start of the season.

Fantasy Football Impact:
Obviously not a QB who should be taken in the draft, he has shown in four starts last year - and 11 overall in Jacksonville in four seasons - that he can be an effective emergency start.
