Trufant gets $50.2 million from Seattle

Seattle CB Marcus Trufant signed a six-year, $50.2 million contract extension with the Seahawks Wednesday. According to his agent, Doug Hendrickson, the contract is worth $20 million guaranteed, and including a $3 million roster bpnus that went into effect immediately, the deal is worth $28 million over the first three years.

Commentary: Around $20 million guaranteed, around $50 million overall, around six or seven years. That's the going rate for a top-flight cover corner in today's market. Trufant joins Asante Samuel, DeAngelo Hall and Nate Clements as the top paid CBs in the game.
