Patriots keep two Exclusive Rights free agents

The New England Patriots kept Exclusive Rights free agents LB Pierre Woods and T Wesley Britt by signing them to contracts Tuesday.

Because the Patriots gave them tender offers earlier this off-season, they could not negotiate with other teams. Exclusive Rights free agents have not accumulated the necessary years in the league to qualify for free agency.

Commentary: Woods led the Patriots with 21 special teams tackles in 2007. Britt played four games for the Patriots last year as a tackle and a second tight end.
