The Ravens signed free agent LB Nick Grieson to a three-year deal Tuesday.

Grieson had two starts and 38 tackles, filling in for LB Ray Lewis in 2007. The seven-year veteran has 275 tackles and four sacks in his career.

Commentary: While Lewis is still one of the best MLBs in the game, age is beginning to become a factor, as he has missed time due to injuries over the past two seasons. Grieson did well in spelling Lewis, and this deal indicates Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome recognizes that.
