Cardinals pick up former Steelers QB St. Pierre

Veteran reserve QB Brian St. Pierre reunited with Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt Thursday.

The former Steelers quarterback signed a one-year deal with the Cardinals, where he will play for Whisenhunt, the former Steelers offensive coordinator. St. Pierre did not see any action for the Steelers last season, and has been the emergency QB through his six year career.

Commentary: It's a positive thing to bring in players familiar with the coach's systems. St. Pierre may not have played much, but he worked through Whisenhunt's offense behind Ben Roethllisberger, Tommy Maddox and Charlie Batch.
