Eight-year veteran OLB Clark Haggans signed a one-year deal with the Cardinals Wednesday.

Haggans had four sacks and 58 tackles last season for the Steelers. The transaction re-unites him with former Steelers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt, who is the head coach in Arizona.

Commentary: Haggans is a savvy 3-4 OLB, and was expected to draw a little more interest on the free agency market. The Cardinals run a 4-3, and Haggans looks to provide depth behind Karlos Dansby and Calvin Pace. The Steelers drafted LaMarr Woodley in 2007, and groomed him to replace Haggans.
