Seattle signed K Olindo Mare to a two-year contract worth $3.5 million Thursday.

Mare, a 12-year veteran, played his first 10 seasons in Miami, and last year in New Orleans. He replaces Josh Brown in Seattle, who signed a five-year contract with St. Louis.

Commentary: Mare has always been a steady, if not outstanding, kicker. He only hit 10 of 17 field goals on a brutal Miami team in 2007, but he has been a reliable kicker throughout his career.

Fantasy Football Impact: Seattle offense can definitely put up points, and while his percentage has dropped from 83 percent in 2005 to 59 percent last year, Mare should be able to get around the century mark in points scored again this season.
