Panthers acquire G Brown from Rams

Carolina came to terms with veteran G Milford Brown Friday, providing the Panthers a versatile and experienced offensive lineman.

Brown made 15 starts in St. Louis last year, nine at LG, four at RT and two at RG. Carolina gave up 33 sacks last season, and averaged 114 yards rushing per game (17th in the NFL).

Commentary: The loss of free agent C/G Justin Hartwig is neutralized by Brown's ability to play more than one position on the line.
