Houston signed former Broncos SS Nick Ferguson to a one-year contract Wednesday.

Ferguson was replaced in the starting lineup eight games into the season by Hamzah Abdullah. Ferguson had 55 tackles on the season, his eighth in the NFL.

Commentary: Ferguson played five seasons in Denver, but is now following former Broncos GM Rick Smith and Broncos coach Gary Kubiak to Houston.
