Earlier this offseason, Patriots running back Kevin Faulk was found in possession of four marijuana cigarettes. He has now gone on record to say that the drugs weren’t his. That would seem absurd, except for the fact that he took a drug test, which appears to confirm that he at least didn’t smoke any marijuana.

The only comment I have on it is that I take total responsibility for what happened to me," Faulk said, according to reports. "I knew there were going to be a lot of questions as to why I didn't comment on it, but I was always taught actions speak louder than words, so my reaction was to just go and take a drug test."

On one hand, getting a drug test done, seemingly on the recommendation of head coach Bill Belichik, was a smart move. But carrying the stuff obviously wasn’t. Hopefully, Faulk learned a lesson.
