Seahawks sign S Lowe to one-year deal

Seattle signed Washington product S Omare Lowe to a one-year deal, the team announced Monday.

Lowe had 21 tackles in 16 games last season with Atlanta. Since leaving the University of Washington in 2002, he has played for the Dolphins, Jets, Vikings, Patriots and the Falcons.

Commentary: Lowe hasn't missed a game in the past two seasons, both in Atlanta. After losing S Michael Boulware in free agency (Minnesota), Lowe can provide some depth at the safety position.
