The Cardinals announced that NT Gabe Watson had surgery to repair a fractured kneecap, and will miss the rest of their offseason activities.

Watson's injury occurred when he slipped off a treadmill at a health club last week. Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt confirmed the injury Tuesday, saying Watson will miss the team's workout program. He will be limited when training camp starts in July, but should be ready for the season, Whisenhunt told the Arizona Republic.

Possibly in response to this, the Cardinals signed DE Bryan Robinson to a two-year deal, the club announced Tuesday. Robinson had 1.5 sacks in four starts with Cincinnati last season.
