Rumor: Branch out of shape in Arizona

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that backup NT Alan Branch, the team's second-round pick out of Michigan last season, "has been attending workouts at the team's facility but doesn't appear to be in prime shape."

The report came in wake of NT Gabe Watson's surgery on a fractured kneecap that will keep him out until training camp. The Cardinals also signed DE Bryan Robinson from Cincinnati. He has experience playing nose tackle.
