Tennessee has agreed to trade suspended CB Pacman Jones to Dallas for a fourth-round choice in Saturday's draft, ESPN's Ed Werder reports.

Jones is currently under suspension, and if NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell does not lift that suspension for the 2008 season, Tennessee would send a conditional 2009 draft pick back to Dallas.

Commentary: Jones wore out his welcome in Tennessee quite a while ago. While the trade gives the Titans an extra second-day selection, Goodell said last week any potential trade has no bearing on the player's suspension. He did say he was "encouraged, to some extent" with the way Jones has conducted himself since being suspended for the 2007 season for a variety of criminal charges.

"If he continues to conduct himself in a way that I think represents the NFL positively, I will consider reinstating him before the season," Goodell told the Associated Press on April 16. "Whether he is going to be traded or not doesn't impact on my decision, on that basis. His representatives know that."

Fantasy Impact: Jones would be one of the league's top punt returners if the NFL lifts his suspension. He has returned four punts for touchdowns in his career, three of them coming during the 2006 season - the last year Jones played.
