The Dolphins traded their fourth-round selection (No. 100 overall) to Dallas for tight end Anthony Fasano and defensive end Akin Ayodele on Friday night.

Fasano has caught 28 passes in two seasons in Dallas. Ayodele was the Cowboys' starting weakside linebacker last season, totaling 57 tackles. Dallas traded its own fourth-round pick to Tennessee for Pacman Jones earlier this week.

Commentary: The Dolphins picked up two starters for the price of a second-day pick. Dallas dumps Ayodele's contract and gives Fasano a chance to start, which he wouldn't have had in Texas. The transaction reunites Fasano, a third-round choice in 2006, and Ayodele with former coach Bill Parcells, the head of Miami's front office.

Fantasy Impact: Fasano was highly touted coming out of Notre Dame, and his was truly a situation of circumstance. Jason Witten is one of the best tight ends in the game. Miami is likely to insert Fasano into the starting lineup immediately, and he could pay dividends.
