Houston Texans coach Dom Capers was appalled by the sloppy play of his first unit in their loss to the Dallas Cowboys last weekend. The offense failed to score a touchdown during the time they were on the field. Star running back Domanick Davis slightly sprained his ankle during that game and will be held out this week as a precautionary measure. The lone bright spots from the Dallas game were Vernand Morency, who gained 55 yards on 11 carries, and kickoff returner Reggie Swinton, who scored the team's only touchdown on a 102-yard kickoff return.

For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, coach John Gruden would simply like to get out of this one with his team intact, as they have many injury issues. The offensive line is banged up and Gruden wants to get his line back intact for the regular season opener at Minnesota on September 11th. Don't expect to see his starters, namely QB Brian Griese and rookie RB Cadillac Williams, playing more than a couple series. Backup quarterbacks Chris Simms and Luke McCown will see most of the action under center.
