The Baltimore Ravens usually like a defensive struggle, while the Indianapolis Colts prefer to play fast break football. Turns out, the Colts can also play down and dirty physical football when need be. Thanks to their swarming opportunistic defense, they shut down Baltimore
24-7 Sunday Night.

In what started out as a battle of attrition, the Indianapolis Colts opened up in the second half led by, who else, but Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison. The second most successful quarterback/wide receiver combo in NFL history, trailing only Steve Young and Jerry Rice, hooked up on a 28-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to put the Colts up 10-0. As it turned out, they didn't need much more.

Manning completed 21-of-36 on the night for 254 yards and two touchdowns. Harrison ended up with six receptions for 69 yards.

For the Baltimore Ravens, their quarterbacks weren't as fortunate. After Manning tossed his second scoring toss, this time a 26-yarder to tight end Ben Utecht, Kyle Boller was dragged down by Colts defensive tackle Larry Tripplett and had to be carried off the field. This was Triplett's second sack of Boller on the night.

Backup signal-caller Anthony Wright came on, but was unable to rally the Ravens. After linebacker Cato June picked off a Wright pass and rumbled 30 yards to the end zone, the Colts held a 24-7 lead that would end up being the final tally.

Colts linebacker Gary Brackett also recorded two interceptions off Boller to give Indianapolis three picks on the night.
