When Cleveland travels to Lambeau Field this Sunday for a 4:15pm EST game against the Green Bay Packers it will present an interesting match-up of winless teams -- the same old Browns against a just plain old Brett Favre.

Favre is undoubtedly one of the best quarterbacks ever to play the game. He nearly retired following the 2004 season but ultimately decided to return for a 15th year. That decision looked like a big mistake after Favre completed just 27 of 44 pass attempts for 201 yards, 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in a 17-3 loss to the Detroit Lions on September 11. He turned the ball over a total of three times during the game, two of which led to 10 Detroit points and ultimately a Lions victory. The going looks to only get worse for the three-time NFL MVP, as his top WR Jevon Walker tore his ACL during the season opener and is done for the year. Plus, Favre and the Green Bay Packers are now forced to square off against a Romeo Crennel coached defense which, while seemingly short on personnel thus far in 2005, nonetheless tends to confuse and befuddle offenses.

None of that may matter if the Cleveland Browns can't keep their defense off the field by putting some drives together and scoring a few points here and there. They managed only 13 in their Week 1 loss to Cincinnati and turned the ball over three times. Cleveland ran the ball just 18 times, and QB Trent Dilfer, despite throwing a 68-yard touchdown strike to WR Frisman Jackson, finished the game with a quarterback rating of just 67.8. Jackson, who caught eight passes for 128 yards, and RB Reuben Droughns, who ran for 78 yards and averaged 6.5 yards per carry, were the offensive standouts for the Browns in the loss.

Sunday will be the 16th meeting between the Browns and Packers, with Green Bay holding a 6-9 advantage all-time.
